"Heid o the Glen rally"
Once again members of the South Yorkshire Sidecar Club helped to swell the numbers at a FED approved rally. Namely, Steve, Jackie and Adam,John and Pat,Pete, Mick, Morris, Paul, Ian and Eleanor, Alf and John. 13 club members. Not bad for the long trek North. The run out on the Saturday was to Pitlochry, and to see the "Queens View", This is a stunning view from a high viewpoint overlooking Loch Tummel this was well worth the ride. I came home on the Sunday, so missed that days run out to Braemar Castle. Thanks go to Norman Milton and the members of the Scottish Classic Motorcycle Club for their hospitality. As this was a fairly long ride, I did a Miles per Gallon check on the Honda Tranalp which I rode. These are the figures. Total mileage 815. 64.67 litres. This equates to 14.25 gallons. This is approx, 57 mpg. Total cost in fuel, £80.80 I won`t do this kind of check to often, I might just have a coronary. Enjoy the pics.
