B.M.P.S. "Turnpike" Ashton-under- Lyne
This was a day meet hurriedly arranged. Nevertheless, nine(9) of our club members turned up for what turned out to be a cracking day in the sun. One sweet little outfit was the Honda 400 Automatic with a heavily modified Jawa sidecar, and adapted controls. The owner and builder Mike Brierley is handicapped, and this outfit gives him the freedom he deserves for his enterprise.
John Procter, with his rhubarb and custard coloured outfit won a prize for, well it must have been for the colour scheme. Well done John.
A competition to guess the squares on the George Formby replica, resulted in me having to ferry home to Sheffield a very large Teddy Bear. Boy,wasn`t he big. A good job I had my new to me BMW and XL Hedingham at the show. It created much mirth as I tried to stuff him in the sidecar.
All who attended the show voted it a hit, So we must do more.
