The rally this year, was at the same venue as last year.Squirrel Wood scout camp, at Burghwallis, near Askern. The weather for the weekend was as forecast, sunshine and showers. The first two nights were very cold. However, 38 units turned up for fun filled weekend, which involved, plenty of activities for the two dozen or more kids that were there. On the Sunday,a ride out to the "Yorkshire Air Museum" was planned. Thirty (30) outfits joined in the run, which took in mostly back roads riding to get us there. We had a really good deal lined up for those that rode with us, £4.00 an outfit entrance fee. This was well below the normal entrance fee of £7.00 for adults. The Sunday night entertainment consisted of a raffle, that seemed to take forever,(many thanks for the donations) A prize giving,in which the the winners were the same as the year before, namely, :- Norrie, from Scotland, Long Distance, Dave Baker, for Best Outfit, with the Triangular Wheels club winning the Best Club Turnout. A Tombola stall was running in the club room. This raised a good sum of cash, which will go to our chosen charity, the "Barnsley Hospice" Thanks go to all involved who made the weekend the success that it was, also thanks to the many campers who took the time to thank us personally. Same time, same place next year? You Bet.
The last dozen or so pics, have been submitted by Barbara Lucas. Thanks Barb.
