I joined the SYSC back in about 1983 after seing the club at Herringthorpe playing fields where they had a stand at the Rotherham show ! At this time i had a Triumph Bonneville T140 silver jubilee with a Squire child / adult sidecar fitted !
I changed the sidecar a few times and ended up with a Watsonion Palma of which was still on when i parted company sometime around 86-87 and I've regretted it ever since !
After that i had a Suzuki GS850 for a while but was never as happy with that machine !
After this i acquired my first Honda CX500 off a then club member with a widened Palma fitted ( widened by Neal Piper )
I ran this for a while then got shut as it was always breaking down !

which i rebuilt and fitted a Briggs child / Adult sidecar to and to my surprise it proved to be a very reliable bike !!
I ran this for about 10 years with a change of sidecar to a single seat Squire and had very little trouble with it !
I sold it in 2001 when i married my wife Christine thinking i would soon get another one !
Well i didn't manage to get one until last year ( 2009 )
