Adam Fenton

This is a Honda Blackbird CBR1100xx with a Squire RX4 child/adult Sidecar.

Adam has been a member of the club since he was a little boy of about four years of age.
His dad Steve went out one Christmas and bought a motorbike and sidecar from a garage up the road. Couldn't even drive this bike. So he had to get the neighbour to bring it down home for him. (missing every lamp post on the street).
Adam at the time was only two months old and his sister Stephanie was 18 months so I wasn't too happy to be putting 2 babies into a sidecar.
But I'm please to say it was the best thing that we did. He learned to ride his bike in Morrison car park, and he set off every Monday night looking for a sidecar club. I thought he was mad but after a few weeks looking, he found the FRAME BENDERS which was in a pub in Pudsey.
Our family's wasn't too pleased we took our kiddies in the sidecar but they loved it. So when Steve passed his driving test and we've never looked back.
Steve took me along one night and we met Oggie who surgested that we should go camping with him and his family to the South Yorks Dinnington Rally.
So we borrowed a tent and a BIG trailer (of course ) and went camping.
I had a strange time, didn't think camping was for me. But the kids enjoyed it with the other children. and we got to know new people who have become our very good friends.
The next camping weekend was the Frame Benders at Top farm. There we met a few couple's who had children around the ages of our's. One women came up to me and asked if  our bike tyre was round or square (I thought she was mad cause our wheels were round, I didn't know you could get square tyres). But that got us becoming good friends to Adrian and Kath Smith.
A couple of years later the Frame Benders club folded and we still wanted to be with the sidecar crowds, so we joined the South Yorks club.
Just to entertain everyone in the FED as everyone knows we don't have much luck with OUR bike's. Over the years we have come to know another motor group, called the RAC. Which we become a member before joining the South Yorks. We are fully aware that they need our business cause we have the luck to use them,(quite a lot)...lol..
This is a family tradition, we have trained our son well. Because there isn't a run out without entertaining our club members, as one of us has to brake down. (FENTON's saving petrol)...
I am so proud that our son Adam is following in his dad's foot steps. He loves to go up and down the country, camping and meeting up with friends that have same interest and also takes his little brother Daniel along .so before long there will be 3 Fenton boy's turning up on there bikes.
Just thought I'd tell you how Adam got interested with Biking...
love his Mum ....Jackie...Xx
